Do you dig plants? Do you want to grow your own organic food? Then this opportunity is for you! The workshop is designed especially for teenagers ages 13 - 17 yrs., and we´ll be having fun and learning a lot. By the end you’ll have mastered the basic steps to getting your own organic garden established. On the last day, we’ll give you transplants to get started!

This workshop is three days long and runs:

• Monday, July 8: 10am to 12:30pm

• Wednesday, July 10: 10am to 12:30pm

• Friday, July 12: 10am to 12:30pm

Snacks will be provided. Participants should bring clothing appropriate for the weather and for getting a bit dirty. Closed toed shoes and a refillable water bottle are required. There is a registration fee of $50 (financial aid and fee waiver is available based on need).

¿Te gustan las plantas? ¿Quires cultivar tu propia comida orgánica? ¡Esta oportunidad es para ti! El taller está diseñada específicamente para adolescentes de 13 a 17 años, y estaremos divirtiéndonos y aprendiendo mucho. Al final habrás entendido los pasos básicos para iniciar tu propio jardín orgánico. Y el ultimo día, ¡te regalamos plántelas para empezar en casa!

Habrá refrigerio incluido. Los participantes deberían de traer ropa apropiada para el clima que se puede ensuciar. Zapatos cerrados y una botella de agua rellenaba están requeridos. Hay una inscripción de $50 (becas están disponibles según necesidad).
